    Hello I have a question... In AMBI mode I can adjust the ISO/time/aperture ratios after the measurement. But if I use "non cord" flash measurement then I get a specific aperture value displayed. After the aperture has been displayed, if I now press the rocker switch - to adjust the time/aperture ratio - the aperture disappears and no time/aperture can be adjusted... Is that correct or is something wrong? Greeting

      It's very easy to use and great for short videos, but if you're wanting to shoot more cinematic movies, I would invest in a better camera. Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera maybe?

    for future people watching this if you're trying to unload an 100ft roll, wriggle it onto a spare 400ft core and put it in a bag and tin from a 400ft roll it wont fit in the 100ft box after you use it with this camera.

    Not until right now, did I realise the meter had a cine light reading function. I have had this meter since the late '90s Nice one. :-D Thanks.

    Thanks for this video! I just inherited one of these from my dad who did photo portraiture in the late 80s/90s. he never knew about the cine function, and that makes it super useful for me on upcoming film productions! the IVf lives on, into another decade!

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I never used the Cine function, but I can use it now. I have an issue with my meter, Previously it used to show me the ISO in increments of 100,200,400,and so on, but recently when I took out my meter to use it after a long time, its suddenly showing me ISO in increments of 87,170,340 and so on, What could have gone wrong? Please help me to reset it back to normal ISO speeds. Thanks.

    How do you change the shutter speed on this camera?

    • @louiswatt8628
      @louiswatt8628 7 років тому

      It could be different for an SR2 but on an SR3 its a small hex screw just underneath the shutter. you spin it and it extends the shutter out until you see the markings for the shutter angle you want.

    complete darkness. sorry if it is confusing. practice it in the light with a dummy load (like I am doing). When you get the hang of it, try it with the dummy load in the changing bag or a dark room.

    Do we load the spool into the magazine in complete dark?Or we use red safe light?If we load it in complete dark how can be possible to threat the film into the magazine,... it seems so difficult as seen in this video.

    I used Eastman Kodak 7222 (EI200) and 7231 (EI80) B/W negative. And for the color stock - my favorite has always been Kodak 250D (which I think now is 7205), followed by 50D (7201?). Everything is 16 or super 16mm shot on a variety of cameras - Arriflex SR2, Aaton LTR54, even a bolex here and there. The only lens I can remember is a Zeiss T2 10-100. Lots of others in there too.

    In a time, where digital "film" is killing analog cinema, I like to see, that some people still interested in the real FILM… I am one of them and I thank god, there are a lot more of them. FILM is the real CINEMA... no digital can beat it!!! Thanks for this video!

    Celluloid film is light sensitive, so if exposed to light it will ruin the film. In the camera the film is protected from light except when it is purposefully exposed to light in order to render the image. It is necessary to use the light tight changing bag when loading and unloading the camera
